Regensburg Germany is, I am told has the best representation of
mid-evil era buildings. This is due to very limited damage from
Allied bombing during WWII. I understand that one church and a
building received damage.
At the train station, we were able to pick up a sightseeing map
with noted points of interest. We were able to visit parts of
the Roman wall that once surrounded the city, walk across the bridge
built by the Romans, and walk through a church that took 600 years to
complete. In all, it was a beautiful city. |
